Deeper Groups
An opportunity to go deeper in your faith, as you meet with others to read & discuss the Bible, to pray for each other, and to ‘do life’ together. None of us are a 'finished product' and our Deeper Groups welcome people at different stages of their faith journey. The one common theme of all our groups is enjoying laughter & fun times together, whilst challenging ourselves to go deeper with God.
We have a variety of groups meeting on different days at different times and in different locations. Each group has a focus so do take a look below to see which group would be best for you.

Evening Groups
A relational group supporting one other with the purpose of deepening our relationship with Jesus. The studies we look at grow out of discussions we have.
On Mondays in Astley Village led by Georgina Woosey
Friendly supportive group. We usually study the bible together using Sunday sermon passages with some flexibility. The group last 90 minutes with one hour discussion and 30 minutes prayer/group catch-up.
On Wednesdays in Buckshaw Village led by Derek and Nerina Harborne
This group will be a safe space to explore how music can enhance and deepen our faith. It will be an inclusive group, for anyone who loves music in worship - whether as a singer, instrumentalist or someone who loves to listen. We will spend time playing and singing songs of worship, exploring what worship means to us and its biblical context, and praying for each other and for the world.
On Mondays in Leyland led by James Harris, Morna and Chris Watts
A group that enjoys using the Bible to help us explore what following Jesus means for us while learning from and encouraging one another.
On Wednesdays in Leyland led by Rachel Harris
A place for people who attend Buckshaw Village Church to come and enjoy additional fellowship with Jesus and each other. This is a place to bring all your gritty questions and doubts, to 'deep dive' into the bible, to understand/debate the different views that often exist within the wider church, to grow together and most importantly to grow new leaders.
On Thursdays in Leyland led by Abi Saunders and Rob Whittaker
This group provides a relaxed and inclusive space where men can build meaningful relationships, share life’s journey, and encourage one another in faith. The focus is on connection, conversation, and community—without pressure or formality.
On Sunday evenings in Buckshaw Village led by Josh Blayney
This group will be a safe space to explore what it looks like to follow Jesus authentically in everyday life. We will encourage and support one another; make use of helpful resources to enable us to better understand how the Bible applies to us today; pray for and with one another and enjoy being part of a fun and meaningful community where real conversations about real life and real faith are welcome.

Daytime Groups
Our group is all about connection and community—growing deeper in relationship, cheering each other on, and diving into the Bible together to discover what it’s saying to us today.
On Thursday mornings in Buckshaw Village led by Ian Sarginson
A friendly and supportive group for women who encourage and pray for one another as they study the Bible and dig deeper into the Sunday morning sermon series together.
